From a crystal shop to Crystal Plushie
Crystal Plushie is a small, family-run brand from Kitchener, Ontario. It started with a girl who grew up in a crystal shop and wanted crystals she could hug.
A door-to-door crystal seller in Brazil
My dad started selling crystals door to door in Minas Gerais, Brazil, to pay for university. Later he moved our family to Canada and opened a crystal shop.
So I grew up surrounded by amethyst geodes, rose quartz and pyrite, and by the people who love them.
3 years, 15+ prototypes, one pointy problem
Crystals are beautiful, but they're not exactly cuddly. I wanted ones you could hug. It took 3 years and more than 15 prototypes (my first tries looked like a spiky-haired anime guy).
The breakthrough was a soft double-terminated shape with a face that matches each crystal's personality. Amy, Callie, Rosie and Obie were born.
Then we made them small enough to carry
After our first Kickstarter (and a lot of your feedback), I shrank them down. Our 8 new bag charms are palm-sized plush crystals with a silver clip: Violet, Archie, Boba, Sparky and mini versions of the original four.
They ship from our first production run in early December.
